We are currently searching for an experienced retail professional to be our new Lingerie Buyer. The new Lingerie Buyer will be responsible for planning, buying, and managing the lingerie department for sales, margin and supply chain impact, including turn results for 3 distinct Retail store Brands.

As our new Lingerie Buyer you will...

• Buy the latest lingerie fashions focusing on consistent brand and merchandise message for the customer.
• Maintain high in stock levels for 'our basics' throughout our retail network.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals for requested inventory. Negotiate the lowest possible cost for the inventory balanced against the optimum quantity and schedule needs. Manage to an Open To Buy.
• Investigate and/or interview potential vendors to determine that they meet company requirements and are in compliance with all laws.
• Ensure proper merchandise quantities, selection, and pricing for all retail locations. Ensure timely rotation of seasonal buys and markdowns.
• Plan and select lingerie collections and floor presentation by season (Halloween, Holidays, Valentine's Day, Spring, Summer and Fall).
• Recommend presentation guidelines and suggestions for featured lingerie in monthly marketing campaigns.
• Visit store locations frequently; travel is required. Attend meetings, trade shows, seminars and other events as required.

Our ideal candidate will have...

• A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; four years of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three years of prior lingerie buying experience is required.
• The ability to maintain the utmost sense professionalism when meeting with vendors and follows through on commitments.
• A working knowledge of inventory and database software, Excel and Word.
• The ability to travel up to 25% of the time for tradeshows, store visits, etc.
